Prices are in USD, and can be sent through Paypal or Ko-Fi if preferred
Note that all prices are rough based on average expectations and can be negated or reduced depending on situation. For example, in a NSFW commission where a male only the genitals and thighs visible is a common situation where I do not charge, but if it was a group situation where half a dozen may be visible it may count as a single extra character.

Though I don't currently charge extra for private commissions, all comms are assumed public unless specified beforehand.

Pricing

Monochrome Sketch: $40
Rough lines with greyscale shading + 1 color optional. Monochrome Sketches

Colored Sketch/Rough Paint: $60
Rough lines or underpaint with colors and shading applied Colored Sketches

Fully Finished Lined/Paint: $90
Cleaned lines or silhouettes depending on lined/paint. Extra detail given to shading for neater transitions and color variations. For a better look at the difference between this and the colored sketch/rough paint level, there is another section below Finished Color

Difference Between Colored/Rough and Fully Finished
From some of the examples I usually give, it is often asked about what the difference is. Generally it is most easily thought of in that fully finished works are of significantly higher resolution and holds up better even at 100% zooms, while sketches are worked on with the full image generally visible at once. An example of a sketch on top vs a finished sketch below: Finished Color

Additions

Extra Characters: +50% of base
Generally someone who’s nearly fully visible from the thighs up counts, but if they’re significantly obscured I will generally prorate this down.

Non-simple Backgrounds: +$10 or up
Non-simple is generally anything that isn’t abstracts/gradients or really quick empty rooms. Tentacles count in here even if they're technically also in the foreground.

Variations: +$5 or up each
For facial variations, clothing variations (more), etc. These should be defined up front, as I organize the file and process differently depending on what variations I will need. Note that for NSFW cases, a cum variation doesn’t count for this and comes with the comm if it’s desired.

Even though I offer them in the hopes that the commissioner can get what they want, (especially since I admittedly open so infrequently) I do not prefer doing variations if possible so prefer to keep the count low in both number and complexity. If you are looking for a complex CG-set with many different pose versions I would not be a good fit for that sort of commission but appreciate the interest :)

Process

Overall, once the details are worked out, I will contact the commissioner at a few points in the process to confirm they are getting what they want:

  1. Pose/Concept Sketch: Rough blobby figures/silhouettes to decide on the poses and composition. Large adjustments or complete redos are possible at this point.
  2. Rough Sketch: Sketchy lines with monochrome shading to confirm details and mood/atmosphere if relevant. This is the last stage major adjustments are possible.
  3. Flat Colors and Lines: This step will be done optionally if I want to confirm I have the color details correct, usually will be done in cases where high res references are scarce. What I will use to confirm this step may vary in appearance depending on what kind of process is used (paint or not)
  4. Low-res Final: When I have what I think will be the final, I will send a lower-resolution version to confirm everything looks in order. Any effects can be tweaked (bumping rim lighting, bloom, etc) but changes to the main body should be handled in the earlier phases.
  5. Payment: At this point we’ll do the paypal thing
  6. Final Submit: When payment is confirmed I will send the full resolution image and whatever variations were decided upon.
While I do want the commissioner to get exactly what they want (the reason I take payment so late in the process to begin with), in rare cases of excessive revisions I will provide advance warning of a limit if I feel like it’s getting to that point. If an agreement can’t be made after that limit, they are free to cancel the commission with no money out of pocket. However, if this becomes an issue I will change to a more conventional payment-first approach.

Favored Subjects

More likely to catch my interest ;) No means comprehensive, if it's in my gallery more than once it's a fair bet

What I Won’t Do

Of course, nothing against people who like these things, but artists with a personal interest for something can always execute it better :)
